Syrian army moves to clear Kurdish-held area in Aleppo, sources say
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleThe Syrian army says it is launching a security operation to clear Kurdish forces from Aleppo’s Sheikh Maksoud, as the Kurdish groups had rejected a Syrian government demand for their fighters to withdraw from the area.
Two Syrian security officials says that the army will clear Sheikh Maksoud, a pocket of Aleppo that Kurdish forces have held, by force, as Aleppo ceasefire has failed.
