From Tank-filled convoy spotted making its way from Russian border toward Donetsk
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleTwo convoys of military equipment have been spotted making their way from the Russian border to the eastern Ukraine city of Donetsk, which President Vladimir Putin declared as independent earlier this week, a witness tells Reuters.
The unmarked convoy included nine tanks and an infantry fighting vehicle and the other included trucks and fuel tankers, Reuters reports.
The spotting comes hours after Ukraine declared a state of emergency on Wednesday and told its citizens in Russia to flee the country.
