Tel Aviv hospital to allow LGBT employees to join strike in protest of surrogacy law excluding gays

Tel Aviv’s Ichilov Hospital announces that it will allow LGBT employees to take part in a nationwide strike Sunday in protest of a bill passed by the Knesset that loosened surrogacy regulations but did not include a clause enabling gay couples to use a surrogate in order to have a child.

Employees who want to participate will be allowed to be absent for work, but have been asked to coordinate their absences with their managers in advance.
