Third mortar shell fired at southern Israel from Gaza

For the third time this afternoon, terrorists fired a mortar shell at southern Israel from the Gaza Strip, again hitting an open field in the Eshkol region.

There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage caused by the shell.

The army says the launch triggered warning sirens in the area. The previous two launches did not trip the sirens, apparently because the shells were fired at unpopulated areas.
