Trump alleges ‘surprise ballot dumps’ in Wisconsin, Michigan as Biden takes lead

US President Donald Trump is complaining after Democratic challenger Joe Biden takes the lead in Wisconsin and Michigan as votes in those key states are counted.

“Last night I was leading, often solidly, in many key States, in almost all instances Democrat run & controlled. Then, one by one, they started to magically disappear as surprise ballot dumps were counted,” he tweets.

He adds: “VERY STRANGE, and the ‘pollsters’ got it completely & historically wrong!”

Trump falsely claimed overnight that he had won the election as results showed him well ahead in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Michigan, but Biden has taken a narrow lead in the latter two states following the tallying of more ballots.
