US President Donald Trump is asked at his NATO Press conference whether he has decided to allow Turkey to rejoin the US-led F-35 fighter jet production program.
Trump again says he has not decided yet, but indicates that he is inclined to allow Turkey back in.
“We have to make a decision about who we give it to. My inclination…” Trump begins before going on a slight tangent to tout Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, acknowledging that the latter does not like Israel but stayed out of the Iran war at his request.
“I haven’t totally made up my mind, but my inclination is to say… he’s helped us in so many different ways,” Trump adds, before going on another tangent.
