Ultra-Orthodox mayor said questioned over cold-case murders from ’80s, ’90s

Hebrew media reports that the ultra-Orthodox mayor of an unnamed city is being questioned by police over his suspected involvement in cold-case murders from some 30 years ago.

The case is linked to an extremist ultra-Orthodox sect. Over 10 people have been detained recently over the suspected murder of a teenage boy and the unsolved murder of a man in the 1980s and 1990s.
