US exit from climate treaty ‘colossal own goal’: UN climate chief
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleThe UN climate chief says a decision by the United States to withdraw from a global climate treaty would “only harm the US economy, jobs and living standards.”
“It is a colossal own goal which will leave the US less secure and less prosperous,” Simon Stiell, the executive secretary of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), says in a written statement.
