A 67-year-old man was killed Friday morning in a paraglider crash in northern Israel.

According to Magen David Adom, the crash occurred shortly before 10:30 a.m. on a hill near the Kadoorie agricultural school and youth village.

Medics who arrived at the scene provided the man with immediate medical attention, but shortly after declared his death.

An MDA medic said that the man was found “unconscious with multisystem trauma, and upon [initial] medical examinations he was without vital signs.”

“We performed advanced resuscitation operations and after prolonged attempts, we were forced to declare his death,” he said.

Earlier this month near Modiin, two men were seriously wounded in a similar accident.
