A man from the northern Arab Israeli town of Arrabeh was stabbed to death early Friday morning at a gas station where he was employed, police said.

A short while after the stabbing, a relative of the victim, a 34-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion that he had carried out the attack.

The victim, 40, was evacuated from the scene of the incident in critical condition, with stab wounds to his upper body.

He was given emergency treatment at the Galilee Medical Center in Nahariya, but doctors were unable to stabilize his condition and he was pronounced dead.

Police were investigating.
