Actor Angell Bonanni is the latest Israeli to join the cast of an American television show, with a recurring role on FOX series “Shots Fired,” a drama focusing on the racial trauma and police shootings that have recently taken place in the US.

According to Deadline Hollywood, the show follows a series of shootings in a small town in Tennessee, and stars Richard Dreyfuss and Helen Hunt, with actress Sanaa Latham in the principal role as the investigator who digs into the case.

Bonanni will play Javier, the boyfriend of actress Alicia Sanz, who has a volatile relationship with Latham’s character, reported Deadline Hollywood.

The Israeli actor can speak in a number of languages and accents, having been born in Uruguay and lived in Australia until the age of 11, when his family moved to Israel.

He first worked as a model in Israel and abroad, and then broke into local television and music in the last nine years.
