Israel’s artistic swimmers snapped at the Olympics
Eden Blecher and Shelly Bobritsky will take to the pool again on Tuesday for a shot at the finals in the artistic swimming duet at the Tokyo 2020 games
Israeli synchronized swimmers Eden Blecher and Shelly Bobritsky dove into the water in Tokyo on Monday for the artistic swimming duet free routine qualifying round.
The duo’s Olympic routine landed them in 16th place overall out of the 22 teams who competed in the free routine.
On Tuesday, the two women will hit the pool again for the qualifying round of the technical routine; their combined scores from the two events will determine if they make it to the final on Wednesday.
At the French Open artistic swimming championship in Paris in 2020, Blecher and Bobritsky ranked fifth overall in the free duet and seventh in the technical duet.
