US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee says Washington has been “VERY involved” in efforts to end the ongoing settler siege on Palestinian homes in Qusra in the West Bank, asserting on X that “the IDF & Israel Police have gone at our request to remove the Israeli terrorists doing this.”

A Palestinian family living in one of the homes on the outskirts of the village has been trapped inside since Sunday, after extremist settlers set up temporary structures there, staking a wildcat claim to the land. Nobody has been able to leave or enter the home since then.

“Actions by those who carried out this horrific act of terror meant to intimidate and harass this family are disgusting. No excuse for such thuggish behavior,” he adds.

Yesterday the military made a failed effort to remove the illegal settler outpost blocking the entrance to the two Palestinian homes. The army’s plan was apparently leaked to the media in advance, prompting dozens of settler activists to swarm to the area in support of the outpost.

Kan news reported yesterday that the Trump administration is fuming over the Israeli government’s failure to crack down on rampant settler violence in the West Bank, and particularly the Qusra incident.
