The Israel Defense Forces apprehended two people who crossed the border from Lebanon into Israel, the IDF Spokesman reported on Thursday.
The incident occurred on Wednesday in the Upper Galilee. The two were taken by security forces for questioning.
Earlier, the news website Now Lebanon reported that two shepherds were “kidnapped” in the area of the Shebaa Farms on the border between the two countries.
In July the IDF detained and then released a young herder who crossed into Israel in the same area, prompting a Lebanese member of parliament to demand United Nations intervention.
The Shebaa Farms is a disputed area at the junction of Israel, Lebanon, and Syria that Israel has controlled since 1967.
