An Israeli woman was killed on Thursday in a biking accident in Cyprus.

The fatal accident occurred when the woman fell while mountain biking near a village outside of Larnaca on the southern shore of Cyprus.

The woman was not immediately named.

The Foreign Ministry said it was assisting the family in returning the body to Israel for burial.

This incident followed a number of other recent accidents in which Israelis died while vacationing overseas.

Last month, an Israeli woman fell to her death in Croatia, a climber in France was killed and a teenager died while riding an ATV in Canada.

An Israeli girl was killed in a jet ski accident in Cyprus in July.
