An 18-year-old Israeli was killed over the weekend in an ATV accident during a trip to Canada before he was due to be drafted into the Israel Defense Forces.

Reuven Landau was reportedly a resident of the West Bank settlement Nofim.

His high school friend who had gone with him on the trip was seriously injured in the accident. The friend was not publicly named,

The Foreign Ministry said it assisted the family with the return of Landau’s body to Israel for burial.

In May, an Israeli woman was killed in an ATV accident in Greece.
