Netflix Israel launched “Off Road” on Thursday, a six-part unscripted reality series starring Lior Raz (“Fauda”) and Rotem Sela (“The Baker & The Beauty”) traveling through Central Asia.
“Off Road” will premiere globally on July 10 on Netflix.
The Israeli actors and real-life friends, Raz and Sela, embark on a 4×4, off-road trip in Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan, while also challenging their relationship and their personal beliefs.
“An off-road journey has always been a dream of ours—and we couldn’t have imagined one more challenging, emotional, and unexpectedly full of laughter. It tested us in every way but also reminded us of the strength of our bond,” said Raz and Sela in a statement. “The greatest lesson we took from this adventure is just how powerful friendship truly is.”
Throughout the show, a therapist urges the two actors to explore specific themes that arise, including friendship, control, fame, family, fears, conflict, and resolution.
Raz and Sela shed their public personas during the adventure and have to trust one another throughout the challenges of their off-road journey, which includes greeting new cultures and characters along the way
“Off Road” was created and executive produced by Lior Raz, Rotem Sela and Avi Issacharoff, and produced for Netflix by Candle Media’s Faraway Road Productions, the company founded by Raz and Issacharoff, with Keshet International.
Raz and Issacharoff are the creators of the award-winning action drama “Fauda.”
