After US blocking of statement, Security Council to meet again on Gaza

NEW YORK — After the US blocked a joint statement from the Security Council calling for a ceasefire, the top UN body will convene yet again on Tuesday, for its fourth meeting in eight days, Norway’s Mission to the UN announces.

The emergency session will be closed, as the first two were.
