Antisemitic slogan sprayed on sculpture outside Weitzman Jewish Museum in Philadelphia

A man sprayed an antisemitic slogan on a sculpture outside the Weitzman National Museum of American Jewish History in Philadelphia, the second time in a year that vandals have targeted the institution.

According to 6Abc News, security footage from Thursday evening shows a man spraying the message on the OY/YO sculpture outside the museum. The outlet does not detail what was written.

No arrests have been made and the graffiti has been removed.

In a social media post, Philadelphia lawmaker Tarik Khan says that he spotted the graffiti and called the police.

“Blaming Jewish people collectively for the actions of the Israeli government is antisemitism,” he writes. “I reported the vandalism to police and organizations that track antisemitic incidents.”

Last year, red paint was sprayed on the facade of the building housing the museum.
