Army says attacker killed in attempted stabbing

The IDF confirms initial reports that a Palestinian assailant has been shot and killed, during an attempted stabbing attack against Israeli soldiers near the Ofra settlement.

According to the army, the man, armed with a knife, approached soldiers who were standing guard at a bus stop outside the West Bank settlement, northeast of Ramallah.

In response, the soldiers opened fire, killing the as-yet-unnamed assailant.

“There were no injuries among our forces,” the army adds.
