Bank of Israel announces 8% cut to $360m operating budget
Israel’s central bank announces an 8 percent cut to its operating budget this year, from NIS 1.3 billion ($360 million) in 2018 to NIS 1.2 billion ($330 million) in 2019.
The announcement comes as the Bank of Israel presents its 2019 working goals today, which make repeated references to “stability,” from consumer prices to the banking system.
The bank’s own announcement doesn’t round the figures. The 2018 budget was 1,298,325,000 shekels; the 2019 budget will be 1,195,044,000, it says.
