US President Joe Biden arrives at a Defense Ministry display site at the airport, to receive a classified briefing by Defense Minister Benny Gantz and other security officials including IDF Chief of Staff Aviv Kohavi.
Biden is shown Israel’s multi-tier air defense systems, including the Arrow, David’s Sling, Iron Dome, and an in-development high-powered laser interception system dubbed Iron Beam.
Israel hopes to partner with Washington on the Iron Beam project, including American investment in further development and deployment of the system.
