Border Police officer wounded in car attack dies of injuries

A Border Police officer who was critically wounded last week in a car-ramming attack at the Halhul junction, near the West Bank city of Hebron, has died of his injuries.

Sergeant Binyamin Jakubowicz, 19, who joined the Border Police a year ago, is survived by his parents, brother and two sisters. His funeral will take place tomorrow at 6 p.m. at the cemetery in Kiryat Ata.

Jakubowicz’s family members requested to donate his organs.

The attack occurred last Wednesday, when a driver ran over a group of Border Police officers.

The driver was shot and killed by security forces.
