Defense minister appoints ministry chief to lead closure of Army Radio

A statement from Defense Minister Israel Katz’s office says he has appointed the ministry’s director general Maj. Gen. (res.) Amir Baram, to lead the implementation team for the closure of the IDF’s radio station, Army Radio, in accordance with the government’s decision.

“The implementation team will address all aspects related to the termination of the station’s operations, as well as examine how the Galgalatz radio station will continue to operate, while preserving its character and identity,” the statement says.

Galgalatz is a sister station to Army Radio, focusing mainly on music.
