Four rescued from Haifa building after suspected arson

Firefighters rescued four people from a burning apartment building that caught fire this morning in Haifa, the Fire and Rescue Service says.

The blazes broke out due to a suspected car bombing in the city. The flames spread to laundry lines and soon reached the structure, the agency reports.

Firefighters say they found three trapped adults and a baby while searching the apartments, and evacuated them in stable condition with mild injuries.

An investigator from the Fire and Rescue Service dispatched to the scene believes the incident is criminal.
