German foreign minister to visit Israel tomorrow

German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock will travel to Israel tomorrow, almost a week after Hamas launched its murderous assault on the country, a spokesman for her ministry says.
Baerbock will make the “solidarity visit” to Israel as part of her efforts at “crisis diplomacy,” the spokesman says. The visit comes the day after Baerbock held talks in Berlin with the Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, seen as a potential broker in the conflict.
