Hamas encouraging mass protests as Israel braces for more
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GooglePalestinians claim there were tens of thousands at last night’s demonstrations, and Israel estimates at least 10,000 — the largest such demonstrations in years, in numerous hotspots in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
These protests are largely being encouraged by Hamas, Channel 2 reports. And there’s been an upsurge in gunfire at Israeli troops in the West Bank, including at last night’s demonstrations, the TV report says, quoting military sources.
The security forces are braced for more such protests today and tonight.
