Hold the clothing, food donations, the IDF says
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleFollowing an overwhelming outpouring of gifts from the public, including food and clothing, the IDF says it will prevent the soldiers from accepting the donations unless they are directed through the Soldiers Welfare Association and the Libi Fund, Globes reports.
“These rules are not new; they are a clarification of rules that have always been in force. The IDF thanks and is grateful for civilians seeking to help soldiers, but also wants to maintain equality in donations and their regulation through the Soldiers Welfare Association and the Libi Fund,” a military official says.
