IDF says key Hamas weapons production operative killed in Gaza strike

The IDF says it killed a key Hamas operative involved in weapons production during a strike in central Gaza yesterday.

According to the military, Mohammad Abu Mallouh was a senior figure in Hamas’s weapons production headquarters and served as a major source of technical expertise for the terror group.

The IDF says Abu Mallouh manufactured weapons during the ongoing ceasefire, which posed a threat to troops operating in Gaza and to Israeli civilians.

The military notes that steps were taken to mitigate civilian harm, including the use of precision munitions and aerial surveillance.
