The Israel Defense Forces reports a shooting attack in the area of the West Bank settlement of Beit El, without immediately providing more details.
According to initial Palestinian reports, “armed clashes” have been taking place near Beit El and the northern entrance to Ramallah.
At least two Israeli soldiers have been wounded, according to reports.
Palestinians have declared a general strike in the West Bank, with large crowds amassing in Ramallah, Nablus, Hebron and elsewhere.
So far, 7 Palestinians have been shot by Israeli live fire, according to the Palestinian Authority Health Ministry.
