Israel mulling end of conflict on own terms — report
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleIsrael is considering an alternative ending for the conflict, says Channel 2, since there’s no progress toward a formal ceasefire.
Among the elements: first, finish dealing with the tunnels; then redeploying outside the Strip; ordering airstrikes in response to further rocket fire; a 72-hour humanitarian ceasefire; understandings with Egypt to prevent Hamas restrengthening; and the possibility of Mahmoud Abbas coordinating the rehabilitation of Gaza.
