Israel Police carry out assessment for ‘expected threats and challenges’
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleNational Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir and Israel Police chief Danny Levy joined a security cabinet meeting early this morning, police say.
The session was convened by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu following Israel’s surprise aerial attack on Iran overnight.
Ben Gvir and Levy discussed “police preparedness for the expected threats and challenges to the State of Israel and Israel Police” during and after the meeting, says law enforcement.
Levy has ordered a “broad deployment of forces, activation of command centers, commanders’ presence on the ground and preparedness for any scenario.” He plans to hold regular situational assessments with the minister as events develop.
