An Israeli-Arab male nurse at the Sheba Medical Center who was suspended from his job last week after making an anti-IDF remark on his Facebook profile will return to work after issuing a public apology to the hospital administration, Haaretz reports.
The nurse was set to have a hearing at the Tel Aviv labor court to dispute the terms of his suspension. However, the hospital and its employee worked out an agreement yesterday, and subsequently canceled the hearing.
Last week, he posted on his Facebook page: “The IDF are war criminals, just killing innocents, and the state claims: ‘It’s an accident, and the incident is being investigated.'”
In separate incidents, an Israeli-Arab psychologist employed by the Lod municipality was fired after rejoicing at the deaths of 13 IDF soldier, and an Israeli-Arab doctor at the Shaare Tzedek hospital was suspended for calling the IDF “murderers” on Facebook and posting an image of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu sucking the blood of a Palestinian child.
