Israeli troops raid Ramallah offices of official PA news outlet

Security forces raid the Ramallah offices of the Palestinian Authority’s Official news outlet, Wafa, after Palestinian gunmen opened fire at a group of Israelis waiting at a bus stop last night in the West Bank.

Wafa says Israeli troops locked down the building, and checked the identities of everyone inside. Wafa says the security forces also accessed the server, and reviewed the agency’s security camera footage.

Low-level clashes broke out in several places across Ramallah, including outside the Wafa offices and a few hundred meters from PA President Mahmoud Abbas’s home, according to AFP journalists.

An IDF spokeswoman declines to comment on the Ramallah raid, including whether it is part of the hunt for the gunmen from last night’s attack outside the settlement of Ofra.
