Jerusalem police restrict Muslim entry to Temple Mount
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleAccess to the Temple Mount will be restricted for Muslim worshipers to men over the age of 40 and women, says Jerusalem police chief Moshe Edri following a situation assessment.
The decision stems from suspicions that young Muslim protesters intend to cause riots at the site, Ynet says. Police and protesters clashed repeatedly at the site during last week’s Jewish New Year holiday.
