Journalist suspected of pedophilia to stay in custody till Friday, with gag order on identity

A senior Haredi journalist arrested on suspicion of holding pedophilic material will remain in custody until Friday, police announce.

The judge who presided over his remand hearing in the Jerusalem Magistrate’s Court this morning imposes a gag order barring the publication of the suspect’s identifying details.

The gag order will remain in force “until the strength of the suspicion becomes clearer,” police say.
