Foreign Minister Yair Lapid tells his Yesh Atid faction that the new situation in the Knesset, with the coalition lacking a majority, “creates difficulties” and will hold up legislation, “but there have been such governments in Israel that lasted a long time.”

He adds: “I watched Itamar Ben Gvir this week cynically using the blood of those murdered [in the terror attack] in Elad and I was reminded of how important it is to maintain this government, how dangerous the alternative is.”
