Netanyahu to hold emergency meeting on massive rioting in Lod

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is convening an emergency meeting on the situation in the mixed Jewish-Arab city of Lod, which has seen massive rioting.

Joining Netanyahu are Defense Minister Benny Gantz, Police Minister Amir Ohana, Police Commissioner Kobi Shabtai, National Security Adviser Meir Ben-Shabbat, and Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit.

Earlier Netanyahu and Gantz order battalions of Border Police into the city.
