Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas meets with King Abdullah II of Jordan in Amman, in the second face-to-face meeting between the two leaders in as many months, according to PA media.

The two leaders met privately to discuss “bilateral relations, joint issues, recent political developments,” the official WAFA news agency reports.

Abbas is accompanied by some of his closest advisers, including PA intelligence chief Majed Faraj and Ramallah’s liaison to Israel, Civil Affairs Commissioner Hussein al-Sheikh.

The Jordanian government has yet to officially comment on Abbas’s visit.
