Parents arrested for unnecessarily injecting drugs into their children for insurance benefits

A mother and father from Jerusalem have been arrested on suspicion that they have been unnecessarily injecting drugs into their infant son and other children, fraudulently receiving money from the National Insurance Institute for years.

Among other charges, the mother is suspected of injecting insulin into her toddler son, claiming he has diabetes in order to receive insurance benefits. The injections led to a deterioration in the boy’s health.
