A religious army preparatory institution damaged in an arson attack during overnight riots in Lod releases photos of the damage.

There were protests and riots in the central city overnight in solidarity with Palestinians clashing with Israeli forces in Jerusalem and as rockets fired from Gaza led to retaliatory Israel Defense Forces strikes on the Strip.
The violent protest, during which Arab participants raised Palestinian and Hamas flags, called to “liberate Palestine,” and attacked a school, a synagogue and city hall, was one of several large demonstrations in Arab and mixed Jewish-Arab towns.
