Some schools to return this week

Israel’s school system is set to begin distance learning tomorrow, similar to what took place during the 2020-21 COVID lockdowns.

The ministry will allow individual schools to hold in-person classes or activities, subject to approval by the local authority, the ministry and Home Front Command. If the security situation improves, school could resume regular classes in certain areas.

Matriculation exams will be pushed off at least a month.

Israel’s school system comprises some 2.5 million students and more than 5,500 schools.
