Suspect arrested in connection with shooting of mayor last night
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GooglePolice arrest a suspect in last night’s shooting of the head of Jadeidi Makr’s local council alongside his deputy, which left both men wounded.
The suspect, a resident of the northern Arab village in his 20s, was arrested for interrogation a short time ago, police say.
He will be brought to court for a remand hearing after his interrogation.
The shooting left council head Suheil Milhim in serious condition, while the deputy mayor, Obaid Obaid, was moderately injured, medics said.
The apparent assassination attempt is being investigated by the Coastal District’s investigations and intelligence unit.
