Swiss ambassador summoned by Iran following attacks by Israel

The Swiss ambassador to Iran, who represents US interests in Tehran, was summoned by the officials from the Islamic Republic on Friday following Israeli strikes against Iran overnight, the Swiss government says.

Speaking at a press conference, Alexandre Fasel, a state secretary in the foreign ministry, says the ambassador was summoned in the context of the mandate that Switzerland holds for Washington, but did not give further details.
