Transportation minister says he’ll bar Boeing 737 Max from Israeli skies
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleTransportation Minister Israel Katz says he’ll instruct the Israeli Aviation Authority to bar Boeing 737 Max 8 aircraft from entering Israel’s airspace, after a plane of that model crashed in Ethiopia.
“This is already part of a global campaign,” Katz tells Channel 13 news regarding his decision.
Katz’s announcement comes after US President Donald Trump said the US would ground all Boeing 737 Max 8 and Max 9 aircraft following a similar decision to do by many other countries.
157 people were killed when an Ethiopian Airlines flight crashed Sunday near Ethiopia’s capital, including two Israelis.
