Travelers leaving Israel must now pledge not to go to high-COVID-risk countries

Travelers exiting Israel will from tomorrow be required to sign a form declaring they won’t go to countries defined as extra-high COVID-19 risk, which are currently Argentina, Brazil, South Africa, India, Mexico and Russia.

The new form announced by the Health Ministry must be filled out by anyone over the age of 16 leaving Israel by air, sea or land.

The measure comes as the government has ramped up restrictions on entry to the country in light of the renewed outbreak of the Delta variant in the country, primarily due to arrivals from abroad.
