The London synagogue that was targeted earlier today with anti-Semitic graffiti, along with other businesses in the north of the British capital, responds to the vandalism by urging unity between different communities to stand up to hatred.

“We are working closely with the Police and Camden Council,” South Hampstead Synagogue says in a message sent to its members. “In addition, the CST have been informed and we are working on removing this as quickly as possible.
“As a community, we regret the rise of hate speech in society. Social media is polluted with xenophobia, Islamophobia, homophobia, misogyny, racism and anti-Semitism. Sadly, these things are connected.
“This is a time for people of all backgrounds — of all faiths and of none — to stand united and show our determination that we do not tolerate prejudice, hate and division — on our streets or online.”
