From US said to announce sanctions against Russian firm tasked with building Nord Stream 2 pipeline

The Biden administration is slated to announce later today that it will allow sanctions to move forward against the Russian company in charge of building the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline between Russia and Germany, CNN reports.
Washington had blocked such sanctions last year, using a national security waiver, but appears to be changing its tune amid growing Russian escalations vis a vis Ukraine.
