White House says ‘no evidence’ of voter fraud, despite Trump claim

The White House pushes back on President-elect Donald Trump’s unsubstantiated claim that “millions of people” voted illegally in the November election, saying there was “no evidence” of mass fraud.

“There has been no evidence produced to substantiate a claim like that,” says White House spokesman Josh Earnest.

Trump claimed in a tweet storm earlier today that he would have won the popular vote — in which he trails Hillary Clinton by more than 2 million votes — if all the people who voted illegally were disregarded.
