A leading Israeli fashion model was seriously injured Sunday after falling from her electric scooter in Tel Aviv.
As a result of the accident, which took place on the city’s Rothschild Boulevard, Shlomit Malka was treated by medics from the Magen David Adom ambulance service and taken to Tel Aviv’s Ichilov Hospital unconscious and with a serious head wound.
Malka was sedated and put on a respirator at the hospital, where she was being treated in the intensive care unit. The hospital said her life was not in danger.
Upon hearing of the news of her injury, a number of Malka’s friends and family rushed to Ichilov Hospital, including her husband, actor and model Yehuda Levi.

Friends of Malka said they were shocked to hear of the model’s scooter accident.
In addition to modeling, Malka was also a host of the popular television singing competition “The Voice” during its latest season.
Sunday’s accident came nearly two weeks after Israeli actress Lucy Dubinchik was seriously injured after falling from the fourth floor of an apartment building in nearby Jaffa.
